Clearlight Inn was built by Steve and Charla Lear and Larry and Cindy Lightfoot. Larry, Cindy, and Charla were all born in Hickory County and Larry and Charla both grew up spending lots of time with their respective family and friends at the beautiful Pomme de Terre Lake. Larry, Steve, and Charla all attended high school together at Humansville High School and Cindy was a student of Charla’s during her first year of teaching business at Weaubleau High School.

After losing track of each other for a few years, Larry, Cindy, and Steve all ended up working together at Hermitage Lumber and the two couples eventually started a part-time business together which led to the idea of building an inn. With the help of Farmer's State Bank, an amazing artist/carpenter, Dennis Roberts, and lots of understanding from our friends and family, the inn has become a reality.

In December of 2011, the Lears left the business. The inn has been a huge undertaking but we think you’ll enjoy the results and are looking forward to welcoming you next time your travels bring you to Hermitage, Wheatland, Pittsburg, Lucas Oil Raceway, or Pomme de Terre Lake.
